Little recap 'to find your way around
Cannabis in cosmetics: what does the law say?
Many products presented as containing CBD have recently appeared on the French market. It is found in cosmetics, but also in liquids for electronic cigarettes, in infusion sachets, or in capsules to swallow. If this molecule is currently authorized, it should be noted that it is part of a broad debate, considered to be at the heart of a legal ambiguity.
According to the government, "certain varieties of cannabis or hemp (which appear on a list of authorized varieties), devoid of narcotic properties, can be used for industrial and commercial purposes". They must combine several conditions.
And in the cosmetic world?
In the cosmetic world, only seeds are used. The use of flowers is prohibited. Finally, the plant that is used must have a content of less than 0.2% THC. As for the finished product, no tolerance: it must not contain THC. Zero, niet, nada!
No question of getting high after applying a day cream. No but ... already that the awakening is not obvious for everyone!
